Places I’ve been or seen in my dreams.
In February 2014, I pulled out an Atlas, made a few key decisions, and outlined a potential route. I decided to chuck everything - namely my career and a lot of my stuff, but not my cat - and travel the world for a year. By May, I had everything whittled down to a backpack sized to fit in the airplane overhead and a purse compact enough for ease, but large enough to hold a bottle of wine (I discovered this important feature later).
My sole, constant companion was a treasured 3"x4" grey, leather bound sketch book. It's pages tell the story of the towns, villages, and cities of 15 countries in 12 months. This is a sample of what those pages hold.
